Many of the tropes in horror that we see in books and movies were first developed by gothic horror writers. Over the last two months, Delta Professor Jeff Vande Zande has traveled to libraries around Michigan to give a talk about the history and elements of gothic horror. He has followed his presentations with a reading from his own contemporary gothic horrors, The Dance of Rotten Sticks and its sequel, Blood of the Witness Tree. Vande Zande will be bringing his well-received “road show” back to Delta College for students, staff, and faculty to enjoy.
