This historic house was built in 1886 in the city of Saginaw and is up for complete restoration. Like the Driehaus, this house was also built in the 19th century, the gilded age. Many aspects of this Saginaw home and the Driehaus are similar. They both have similar window structure, which was common for large houses at the time. Both homes consist of architecture made by notable architects, the Saginaw home having a fireplace built and designed by Orlando Gianni, who also designed for Frank Lloyd Wright. These two homes undoubtedly serve as landmarks that not only display the history of Saginaw and Chicago, but also show the amazing architecture and designs of the 1800s.

I like the comparison between the two homes. It is crazy what can happen to homes like those that actually are kept up with or left to decay.
I wish you had dived deeper into the historical and architectural comparisons! I like that you compared these two houses. No one else did that! I’ve never even heard of the home in Saginaw. Glad they’re restoring it!
